Day 01
Transfer from Lahad Datu to Tabin Wildlife Reserve on gravel road. Journey takes about 1 hour. 
Check in and group briefing upon arrival.  Introduction to Tabin Wildlife Resort and its facilities. Dinner followed by  night activities to look out for nocturnal wildlife and birds.  Overnight at Dormitory (L,D)
 
Day 02
After breakfast, visit the Lipad mud volcano located nearest to Tabin base.  After trekking through the jungle for twenty minutes, arrive at the elevated bare area of the mud volcano known to be frequented by deer, wild boars, elephants and birds. Look out for and identify footprints of animals. Those adventurous can experiment the effect of the volcanic mud said to be responsible for fine complexion.  Walk up the observation tower and admire the contrasting landscape of the bare mud volcano area and its surrounding thick forest where birds are commonly sighted. 

Return to main base in the afternoon.  Lunch before Mini project I: Learn about flora & fauna in Tabin.  After dinner,  there will be a power-point  presentation on Tabin’s uniqueness, followed by night activities to look out for nocturnal wildlife and birds. Remember to look up at the clear, dark sky of Tabin, identify the constellations above you, and make a wish or two.  Overnight at Dormitory (B,L,D)
 
Day 03
Today, we trek through the lush green jungle known for its rich diversity of plants and animal species to visit Lipad’s Waterfall.  Take a dip in the natural pool and enjoy the refreshing splash coming down from the waterfall. Alternatively explore the surrounding vegetation or just relax.    Mini project II: Learn about flora & fauna in Tabin in the afternoon. Followed by night activities or project presentation. Overnight at Dormitory (B, L, D)
 
Day 04
Mini project III: Learn about flora & fauna in Tabin.    Free at leisure in the afternoon.  Dinner, followed by night activities or project presentation.  Overnight at Dormitory (B,L,D)
 
Day 05
After breakfast, Mini project IV: Learn about flora & fauna in Tabin.  Night activities or project presentation after dinner.  Overnight at Dormitory (B,L,D)
 
Day 06
After breakfast, Mini project V: Learn about flora & fauna in Tabin.   Free at leisure in the afternoon.
Overnight at Dormitory (B,L,D)
 
Day 07
Breakfast.  Free at leisure before check out and depart for Lahad Datu town. (B)

Involvement: Jungle trekking,
Time Start: 7:55 a.m. 
Tour Includes: Scheduled return transfer Lahad Datu / Tabin / Lahad Datu, meals as stated, guided tours and activities, entry permit.
Please Bring: Insect repellent, leech socks, long sleeve shirts, raincoat, sun hat, comfortable trekking shoes, torch light, water bottle, bath towels & personal toiletries.
